Rules & Regulations

The school’s academic session begins in April every year and continues till March the following year. The academic year is divided in two terms : 1st term from April to September and 2nd term from October to March.

School Timings :

» KG I TO CLASS II------ 8.50 AM to 12.45PM

» CLASS III onwards 8.50 AM to 3.30 PM

» No student will be allowed to enter the school after 9.20 A.M

School office timings:

» 9.30 am to 4 pm

» 10 am to 3 pm on all Saturdays (except national holidays) and during vacations. School timings are subject to change at the discretion of the Management.

Parents may meet the Principal on all working days during the school hours. You can meet the teachers also on working days but they should be informed in advance through a note in the students’ diary. Parents are welcome to send their suggestions and queries to principalbas@bciedu.org. Only mails in which the student`s name and class are mentioned will be answered. All correspondence is to be addressed to the Principal.

Every student is expected to participate in all school activities. This regulation applies to such activities that take place beyond the normal school hours and outside the school.

Fees :

» All school fees can be deposited at the school office on working days including Saturdays, from 10 am to 3.30 pm. As and when applicable notice will be given to parents about payment at banks.

» Fees must be paid by the 15thof every month, incase 15th is a holiday, then on next working day.

Attendance :

» Attendance on the first and last working day of every term is compulsory.

» Students are expected to be present in school on certain days such as non-teaching activity days, like Teachers’ Day, Children`s Day, etc.

Discipline :

»Bharat Academy& Sciences understands the importance of a scholastic and co-scholastic progress of the students in a disciplined and orderly environment.

»All students are expected to promote honesty, cooperation, cleanliness, protection of school property, peaceful resolution of differences and observance of rules and safety procedures

»All students must speak in English only in the school campus and while commuting in school vehicles.

Library :

»School has a well equipped library and all students of the school are members of the Library.

Co-Curricular Programmes :

»Education at BAS goes far beyond the classroom, all students are expected participate in co-curricular activities from Monday to Friday and some Saturdays earmarked for such programmes. Activities include Sports, Music, Art and Craft and Community Service activities.

Trips And Excursions :

»Educational tours & trips are organised for the students and parents are requested to give permission to their wards to join school-organized trips within and outside the state of West Bengal.

»These could include trekking, camping, sport or cultural trips and visits to other schools.
